  • 8 slices day old bread, cut in cubes
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

    Combine bread crumbs and milk in 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

    Let stand 10 minutes.

    Stir in raisins.

    Beat eggs and yolk together. Stir in vanilla and sugar.

    Pour into bread and milk mixture; sprinkle with cinnamon on top.

    Bake in a 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until firm.
