  • 2 c. milk, scalded
  • 4 c. day-old bread, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

    Scald milk.

    Pour over bread cubes; cool.

    Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, salt, raisins and cinnamon.

    Place in buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole and set in a pan of hot water.

    Bake 1 hour at 350° or until knife comes out clean.
