  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 3 c. hot water
  • 2 c. finely diced bread
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Combine milk and hot water; pour over bread.

    Set aside to cool until lukewarm.

    Stir in eggs, butter, salt and vanilla flavoring.

    Pour into 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

    Set in shallow pan of hot water.

    Bake at 350° until blade of knife inserted near the center comes out clean, about 1 hour.
