Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. hot milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. bread (dried and broken)
  • 3/4 c. raisins (optional)

Directions

    Add sugar, salt and vanilla to hot milk.

    Cool a little, then add to eggs which have been beaten until light and fluffy.

    Put bread into buttered casserole.

    Sprinkle with raisins, then pour the milk and egg mixture over it.

    Bake in moderate oven (350°) 35 to 40 minutes.

    Serve hot or cold.
