  • 4 c. dry bread, diced
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 4 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cover bread with milk for 5 minutes.

    Add sugar, melted butter, salt and vanilla.

    Pour into buttered pan.

    Set pan in pan of water and bake for 1 hour at 325°.
