Ingredients
- 2 1/2 lb. spareribs
- 1 slice onion
- water
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. curry powder
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/3 c. cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Place ribs in pan.

3Add slice of onion and cover with water.

4Simmer for 50 minutes.

5Drain and place ribs in an ovenproof baking dish and chill.

6Mix the sugar, cornstarch, curry powder and cloves.

7Add boiling water, vinegar, soy sauce and garlic.

8Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and boiling.

9Pour over ribs and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

10Makes 6 servings.
