  • 2 c. scalded milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 slightly beaten eggs
  • 2 slices buttered bread
  • 1/2 c. seedless raisins
  • pinch of salt

Directions

    Cut buttered bread in 2-inch strips and put in buttered pan. Blend sugar, vanilla, salt and beaten eggs.

    Add scalded milk and pour over bread.

    Sprinkle with raisins.

    Bake in 325° oven for about 45 minutes.

    Pudding is done if knife comes out clean.
