  • 3 eggs, beaten until frothy
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 Tbsp. salt
  • 4 c. bread cubes

Directions

    Butter 1 1/2-quart dish.

    Beat eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and salt.

    Stir in bread and raisins.

    Let stand 5 minutes.

    Put in dish.

    Put water in pan to reach halfway up on sides of dish.

    Bake until knife comes out clean, about 1 1/2 hours at 325°.
