- 2 c. milk
- 2 thick or 3 regular bread slices
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/3 c. sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 c. raisins
Directions

1Soak bread in milk for 2 hours.

2Beat eggs and sugar together. Add remaining milk, salt, nutmeg and melted butter.

3Sprinkle half of the raisins in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan (to cut into squares) or place in a casserole dish (to scoop out).

4Place soaked bread on top.

5Add remaining raisins.

6Pour milk and egg mixture over this.

7Bake in a 325° oven for 1 1/2 hours.
