- 1 to 2 Tbsp. melted fat (Crisco, Spry or unsalted chicken fat)
- 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. unsalted stock
- 1 c. low sodium bread crumbs (you may use low sodium hot water cornbread)
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. sage
Directions

1Melt the fat in the frying pan; add the onion and saute until tender.

2Add the low sodium bread crumbs and seasonings and mix well.

3Add the stock.

4This is a light, loose stuffing.

5It can be varied by leaving out the onion or the sage, by adding a little garlic or by adding unsalted nuts or raisins.
