Breaded Tomatoes (Tapas/Appetizers)

- 4 tomatoes
- 4 eggs
- 200 g breadcrumbs
- 100 g flour
- 1 tablespoon basil, chopped (or ground)
- oil, for frying
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Wash and slice the tomatoes in thick slices.

2Season them.

3Mix the basil with the breadcrumbs.

4Beat the eggs in a bowl.

5Dry the tomatoes with paper towels.

6Pass the tomatoes through the flour, the egg and the breadcrumbs (in this order).

7Fry in enough oil (or use a deep fryer) until golden.

8Set on a paper towel to remove excess oil and serve hot.
