- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 1 c. white flour
- 1/4 c. raisins (optional)
Directions

1Mix together the buttermilk, honey, molasses, soda and salt. In another bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and white flour; add that blend to the buttermilk mixture.

2Stir in the raisins. Pour the batter into a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.

3Preheat your oven to 400°, turn it back to 350° and slide in the pan.

4Bake the bread for 1 hour.

5Turn the loaf out, inverted, onto a rack to cool.

6Wait 1 day before slicing and toasting this breakfast bread.

7Makes 1 loaf.
