  • 12 slices bread, crust removed, buttered on one side
  • sausage, ham, or bacon- browned and drained
  • 12 oz. shredded cheddar
  • 6 eggs- blended with:
  • 4 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 t. dry mustard, optional
  • 1 t. salt

Directions

    Place 6 slices of bread butter side down in buttered 9x13 pan.

    Cover with sausage.

    Add cheese.

    Place remaining 6 slices of bread butter side up over cheese.

    Beat remaining four ingredients and pour over bread.

    Refrigerate 12 hours.

    Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350°.
