  • 6 eggs
  • 1 lb. rolled sausage (hot or mild)
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 1/2 cartons sour cream
  • 6 slices bread
  • 3 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 c. green onions, chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped (optional)
  • 1 c. milk

Directions

    Toast bread and layer in a large, buttered casserole dish. Brown sausage and drain.

    Add onion, green pepper and green onions and saute.

    Layer sausage mixture on bread.

    Beat eggs, milk and pepper, then pour over first 2 layers.

    Add layer of sour cream and top with grated cheese.

    Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
