- 1 lb. sausage
- 2 c. Cheddar cheese
- butter
- 6 to 8 slices light bread
- 1/2 pt. evaporated milk
- 1 doz. eggs
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Crumble and brown sausage; drain grease.

2Butter 13 x 9 x 2-inch casserole dish.

3Line with 6 to 8 slices of light bread. Peel crust from bread.

4Beat eggs; add salt and pepper to taste. Add milk.

5Pour over bread and sausage.

6Sprinkle 2 cups of shredded Cheddar cheese on top.

7Cover and refrigerate overnight. Take out about 1 hour before cooking.

8Bake at 350°

9for 1 hour. Serve hot.
