- 6 slice white or Italian bread
- 1 lb. sausage
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Longhorn or Cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 2 c. milk or half and half
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Remove crusts from bread and spread butter on each slice. Place slices on the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish or pan. Brown sausage; drain and sprinkle over bread.

2Spread cheese over sausage.

3Mix egg, milk (or half and half) and salt.

4Pour this mixture over the cheese and sausage.

5Cover and chill overnight. Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking.

6Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
