- 4 c. old fashioned rolled oats
- 1/3 c. honey or molasses
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 3/4 c. bran cereal
- 1 c. flaked coconut
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. chopped dates
Directions

1Spread rolled oats on a 15 x 10-inch baking pan.

2Toast at 350° for 5 minutes.

3Stir; toast 5 more minutes.

4Meanwhile, combine honey or molasses and oil in saucepan.

5Heat, but do not boil.

6Stir in vanilla.

7Remove oats from oven; toss with nuts, bran and coconut.

8Pour hot honey mixture over oat mixture.

9Toss well.

10Return to oven and bake 20 to 25 minutes, stirring 3 times while baking.

11Remove from oven.

12Add raisins and dates; stir well.

13Cool.

14Store in airtight container.
