Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz.) wheel ripe Brie
  • 1/2 c. softened butter
  • 2 large cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1/3 c. finely chopped walnuts
  • 1/3 c. finely chopped olives
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped basil

Directions

    Freeze cheese for 30 minutes or until very firm.

    Cut in half horizontally and set aside.

    Cream butter and garlic.
  4. 4
    Mix walnuts, olives and basil and blend thoroughly.

    Spread mixture evenly on 1/2 of cut side of cheese.

    Top this cheese with the other half, cut side down.

    Press together.

    Wrap and chill. Bring to room temperature.

    Makes 12 appetizers.
