12 steps

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups Pecans
  • 1/4 cups Kahlua
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 whole Wheel Of Brie

Directions

  1. 1
Put pecans in a small saucepan over medium low heat to toast.
  2. 2
Toast pecans for 2-3 minutes, careful not to burn.
  3. 3
Once pecans are toasted, add the brown sugar and Kahlua to the pan with the pecans, mix until combined.
  4. 4
Allow ingredients to melt over the heat, 2-3 minutes.
  5. 5
Scrape top of wheel of brie with a fork, just to rough up the surface and remove some of the rind.
  6. 6
Place brie into a lipped dish (like a pie plate), top with the pecan mixture.
  7. 7
Microwave brie in 30 second increments until soft, but not oozing out (it usually takes me 3-4 30-second go-rounds in the microwave).
  8. 8
    Serve with crackers.
  9. 9
(I like to serve with buttery crackers like Club Crackers, or with Plain Water Crackers)
  10. 10
Tip for Taking to a Party: When I take this to a party, I take the brie, the dish, and the premade pecan mixture all separate.
  11. 11
Then I assemble it at the party.
  12. 12
It is fine to keep the pecan mixture at room temperature once it is made.
