- 2 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. walnuts
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 c. molasses
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 to 3 apples, cut in small pieces
Directions

1In bottom of pan, pour molasses and water.

2Mix the first 4 ingredients, then add shortening as to make pie shells and milk. Roll dough in 1 large piece; spread over it small apple pieces and walnuts.

3Form a roll; slice approximately 1-inch thick.

4Drop in molasses and water mixture.

5Cook for 35 minutes at 250°.
