Ingredients

  • 5 lb. brisket
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 medium onion
  • Lawry's seasoned salt
  • Accent
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic powder
  • paprika
  • 1 can beer
  • 1/3 c. chili sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar

Directions

    Marinate by sprinkling vinegar and seasonings over meat.

    Cover and refrigerate 12 hours.

    Place meat in broiler pan and brown at 350° for 1 hour.

    Transfer to Dutch oven.

    Slice onion over top of meat.

    Mix drippings from browning pan with 1 can beer, 1/3 cup chili sauce and 1 tablespoon brown sugar.

    Add enough water to total 2 cups liquid.

    Cover; bake at 325° for 4 hours.

    Cool in liquid and refrigerate until cold.

    Slice when cold.

    When ready to serve, heat in 200° oven for 1 hour.

    Gravy will be thin.
