  • 3 Tbsp. liquid smoke
  • 2 tsp. onion salt
  • 3 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 tsp. celery salt
  • 3 to 5 lb. beef brisket, untrimmed
  • black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions

    Make a paste of the first 4 ingredients.

    Paint the brisket with the paste; wrap tightly in heavy-duty foil.

    Seal.

    Marinate in refrigerator overnight.

    Sprinkle with pepper and Worcestershire sauce.

    Rewrap tightly in the same foil.

    Place in shallow roasting pan and bake at 225° to 250° for 6 to 8 hours. Remove from foil and brown on the grill, if desired.

    Recipe can be doubled or tripled to accommodate larger briskets.
