Ingredients
- 5 to 6 lb. brisket
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 large sliced onion
- 1 bottle chili sauce
- 3 Tbsp. catsup
- pepper to taste
- split garlic clove
- 5 celery ribs with greens, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 3/4 can beer
Directions

1Rub brisket with salt, pepper and garlic.

2Place in roasting pan.

3Cover with onion slices, celery, chili sauce and catsup. Cook, uncovered, at 325° for about 1 1/2 hours.

4Add beer, cover and bake about 2 hours longer (until tender).

5Cool.

6Lift fat, drain and dispose of onion and celery.

7Slice meat.

8Cover with sauce and warm.
