- 1 head broccoli
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 4 cloves garlic, diced
- 1 lb. thin spaghetti or linguine
- 3 qt. water
- 1/2 c. olive oil
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- anchovies (optional)
- fried bread crumbs (optional)
- 1 tsp. black pepper
Directions

1Separate broccoli florets and trim tough skins from stalks; cut up.

2Bring to a boil the water and salt.

3Add broccoli.

4Cook 5 to 8 minutes.

5Add spaghetti, cut in halves.

6Cook until both are al dente.

7Drain.

8Heat olive oil in a pan.

9Add garlic and brown.

10Pour mixture over cooked spaghetti and broccoli.

11Add pepper and cheese.

12Serve with salad and crusty bread.
