Broccoli Cheese Soup

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. fresh broccoli
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese, divided
Directions

1Wash and then steam broccoli approximately 8 minutes.

2Saute onion and bay leaf until onion is clear.

3Discard bay leaf.

4Heat milk and thicken with flour.

5Add chicken broth and seasonings. Add broccoli and onion, then half the grated cheese.

6Cook 3 to 5 minutes, transfer to oven casserole.

7Top with remaining cheese. Heat in medium oven just until cheese melts.

8Serves 4.
