Broccoli Quadrettini

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 bunch broccoli, trimmed
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. egg pastina
  • 6 to 8 Tbsp. butter or margarine, cut into small pieces
  • 3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp, drain and set aside. Cook broccoli in water until crisp-tender.

    Cook pasta in boiling water until al dente.

    Drain broccoli and chop into 1/4-inch pieces.

    Drain pasta and immediately place it back in the pot and toss with butter, bacon, broccoli and cheese.
