Broccoli Salad

- 2 bunches broccoli
- 10 slices bacon
- 1 large red onion
- 1/3 c. raisins
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 c. toasted sunflower seeds
Directions

1Cut broccoli flowerets into smaller than bite-size pieces. Cut off tough outer layer of stalks and chop the tender part into small pieces.

2You need 8 cups of broccoli.

3(Do this the day before and store in plastic bag.)

4Saute bacon until crisp.

5Slice onion lengthwise.

6In large bowl, combine the broccoli, onion and raisins and bacon.

7In small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar and pepper.

8Combine dressing with the vegetables; refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

9Top with sunflower seeds.
