Broccoli Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 bunches broccoli (approximately 2 1/4 lb.)
  • 10 thin slices bacon
  • 1 large red onion (optional)
  • 1/2 c. dark raisins
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. sunflower seeds (optional)

Directions

    Cut broccoli into bite-size pieces.

    (May peel the larger stalk and cut up also.)

    Saute bacon until crisp.

    In large bowl combine broccoli, onion, bacon and raisins.

    In another bowl mix together mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar.

    Combine dressing with veggies and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

    May add sunflower seeds at this time.
