Ingredients
- 1 bunch fresh broccoli, cut into small pieces
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 2 c. water
- 2 tsp. chicken base or 6 tsp. instant chicken bouillon granules
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 c. half and half cream
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Place broccoli, onion, celery, water, bouillon, pepper and garlic powder in a 2-quart casserole.

2Cover and microwave on High for 12 to 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

3Transfer mixture to blender or food processor.

4Blend until smooth.

5Return mixture to casserole.

6Mix together cream and flour until smooth. Stir into broccoli mixture and microwave on High, uncovered, 8 to 10 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens, stirring 2 or 3 times.

7Stir in lemon juice and Parmesan cheese.

8Makes about 6 servings.
