  • 4 c. chopped broccoli (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 c. water
  • 4 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. caraway seed (optional)
  • 1/8 tsp. celery seed (optional)
  • 1/2 c. blanched slivered almonds (optional)
  • 1 c. chopped celery

Directions

    Steam broccoli, celery and onion in water in a 3-quart saucepan until tender.

    Dissolve flour in milk in measuring cup.

    Combine all ingredients in saucepan.

    Bring to a scald.

    Garnish with a few almonds, if desired.
