Ingredients
- 6 c. water
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
- pepper to taste
- 1/2 to 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 c. half and half
- 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Bring 6 cups water to a boil in a 3-quart Dutch oven.

2Add broccoli and onion.

3Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes. Add cheese and seasonings, stirring until cheese melts.

4Stir in milk, half and half and butter.

5Cook over low heat until thoroughly heated.

6Combine flour and cold water, stirring until smooth.

7Gradually add to broccoli mixture, stirring constantly. Heat until thickened.

8(If too thick, add a little water.)

9May have to add a little more flour and water to make right consistency.

10(Do not make too thick.)
