Brown Paper Bag Pie

Ingredients
- 6 large apples, pared, cored and cut into slices
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour (a little more if apples are juicy)
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 Tbsp. margarine or butter, melted
- 9-inch unbaked pie shell
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1Combine all ingredients (except apples, pie shell and lemon juice) to coat apples.

2Put apples into pie shell and drizzle lemon juice over them.

3Sprinkle topping over apples, then slice into a heavy brown paper shopping bag (bag must not touch the top of the pie).

4Double fold the end of the bag and fasten with paper clips. Place on cookie sheet.

5Bake at 425° for 1 hour.

6Split bag open immediately.

7Cool.

8This is a great way to save your oven from pie spills.
