Ingredients

  • 1 c. uncooked brown rice
  • 4 c. boiling water
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 small cans mushrooms
  • 4 bouillon cubes in 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. celery salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. onion salt
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. ground bay leaves
  • 3/4 c. celery, chopped
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef, browned
  • 1/2 c. slivered almonds

Directions

    Soak brown rice for 2 hours.

    In large casserole mix all ingredients (except almonds).

    Lightly sprinkle almonds on top. Bake for 1 1/2 hours, covered at 350°.
