- 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 lb. thick-sliced bacon
- Dijon mustard
Directions

1Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Line 2 baking pans with foil.

2Place a wire rack (like the one you put cookies on to cool) on each pan; spray the rack with cooking spray.

3In a shallow pie plate, combine brown sugar and black pepper.

4Separate bacon into strips and brush both sides with a thin coat of Dijon mustard.

5Add bacon slices to sugar mixture, rubbing it in well.

6Arrange slices in a single layer on racks.

7Bake, turning bacon once, until sugar mixture has caramelized, about 30 minutes.

8Don't eat it so fast that you burn your tongue.
