  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 4 eggs, beaten well
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (9-inch) deep dish pie shell

Directions

    Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy; add eggs and vanilla and beat thoroughly.

    Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake 5 minutes at 425°.

    Turn heat down to 325°.

    Bake until middle of pie is firm, about 35 to 40 minutes.

    May use 1 cup chopped nuts on top of mixture before cooking.
