  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 2 c. cake flour
  • 1 c. nutmeats

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar thoroughly; add vanilla and eggs.

    Add combined cocoa and flour; beat well.

    Add nutmeats.

    Bake in buttered baking pans at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.

    Cool; cut into squares.

    (Use less sugar if brownies are frosted.)
