Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 2/3 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Melt shortening and cocoa.

    In large bowl mix together eggs, sugar, vanilla and cocoa mix.

    Gradually add flour until well blended.

    Add nuts and bake in greased 8 x 12-inch pan for 25 to 30 minutes at 350°.

    Cool and cut into squares.
