  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 2/3 c. margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

    Grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Melt butter in large saucepan and add cocoa; remove from heat.

    Mix in sugar, eggs and vanilla; stir.

    Stir in remaining ingredients; spread in pan.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until brownies pull away from pan.

    Do not overbake.
