Ingredients

  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening (heaping)
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. lukewarm water
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 4 to 6 c. flour

Directions

    Mix together the first 4 ingredients and cool until lukewarm. Soft yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water.

    Add to first mixture; add eggs.

    Add flour.

    Knead.

    Put in bowl and grease top.

    Let rise until double.

    Make into rolls and bake in 400° oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
