Ingredients

  • 4 c. day old French bread, cut in cubes
  • 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 10 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • fresh ground pepper
  • 8 to 10 slices cooked bacon
  • 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 to 1 c. cubed tomatoes

Directions

    Layer bread and cheese in greased casserole.

    Put tomatoes, bacon and mushrooms on top.

    Mix eggs, milk, mustard, salt, pepper and onion powder.

    Pour over casserole.

    Chill 24 hours.

    Cover with tent of aluminum foil.

    Bake at 375° for 1 hour.
