Ingredients

  • 1 hog head or 2 fresh picnics
  • 2 whole chickens
  • 5 qt. tomatoes
  • 4 cans small May peas
  • 3 cans whole grain white corn
  • 1 1/2 (32 oz.) bottles ketchup
  • 1 big box crackers
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Hardison's barbecue
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Cook all the meat until meat falls off bones.

    Discard all the bones.
  3. 3
    Mix the barbecue, meats and broths
  4. 4
    with the tomatoes, May peas, sugar, ketchup and salt and pepper.

    Cook real slow for about an hour.

    Then add corn and cook 1/2 hour.

    Add crackers in to thicken just before it gets done.
