  • 1 (2 1/2 lb.) frying chicken, cut up
  • 4 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. sliced onion
  • 1 (17 oz.) can whole kernel corn in liquid
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen fordhook lima beans
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 c. softened margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. flour

Directions

    Cover chicken with water in Dutch oven.

    Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low.

    Cover and cook 45 minutes or until chicken is tender.

    Remove chicken from broth.

    Cool.

    Bone chicken, shredded in large pieces.

    Add to broth.
