Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 c. hot water
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 4 c. flour
  • melted oleo
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • maraschino cherries
  • nuts
  • 1/4 c. Karo
  • 1/3 c. sugar

Directions

    Add 1 cup flour and beat well.

    Add 3 cups flour.

    Knead and let double in bulk.

    Break into small pieces.

    Roll in melted oleo, then in 1 cup sugar and the teaspoons cinnamon.

    Place in well-greased tube pan.

    Add maraschino cherries and nuts amongst the layers.

    Dissolve Karo and 1/3 cup sugar.

    Pour over before baking.

    Let rise.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
