  • 1 c. lukewarm potato water
  • 6 c. buttermilk or 5 to 1
  • 4 tsp. salt
  • 8 c. buckwheat flour or 7 to 1
  • 4 tsp. baking soda
  • 4 Tbsp. molasses
  • 4 eggs

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in potato water. Stir in buttermilk. Add flour and salt. Cover and let stand overnight in a warm place.
