Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground buffalo meat
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 (10 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes
  • 1 cup low-sodium V8 juice
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans baked beans (in tomato sauce)
  • 1 (28 ounce) can kidney beans
  • 14 cup ground flax seeds

Directions

    In a dutch oven, brown ground bison on med-high.

    Add 3 cloves of garlic, 2 Tbsp of Chilli powder onion, and green pepper.

    cook for about 4 minutes.

    Add tomato soup, canned tomatoes and v8.

    Allow to return to a simmer.

    Add rinsed kedney beans, and both cans of baked beans.

    Simmer for at least 15 minutes, or add to a slow cooker, and cook as long as you like.

    Add ground flax, remaining chilli powder, and garlic just before serving.
