  • 3 c flour
  • 3 c sugar
  • 1/2 c cocoa
  • 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1/2 c shortening
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 1/4 c milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

  1. 1
    Cream butter and shortening with sugar. Add eggs, one at a time and blend well after each. Sift all dry ingredients and add alternating with milk. End with dry ingredients. Add vanilla. cook in greased and floured tube pan at 325 for 1 1/2 hours.
