  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. lard
  • 1 tsp. yeast
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. sugar

Directions

    Slowly add enough flour to make a soft dough, knead for a few minutes. Let rise until double in size. Knead down and let rise again. Put in pan. Let it rise again. Bake for 40-45 minutes at 350°F.

    Makes one loaf.
