Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. butter flavor
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 1/4 c. sifted flour
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped chives or 1 1/2 tsp. caraway seed

Directions

    Combine cream, salt, butter and flavoring.

    Bring to a boil and remove from heat.

    Stir yeast into lukewarm water and sugar. When cream mixture is cool, add yeast mixture.

    Stir in remaining ingredients.

    Do not knead.

    Stir with spoon.

    Cover and let rise 1 hour.

    Spoon into muffin pans, 1/2 full.

    Let rise 30 minutes. Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.
