- 3/4 c. sour cream
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. butter flavor
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 1/4 c. sifted flour
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 Tbsp. chopped chives or 1 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
Directions

1Combine cream, salt, butter and flavoring.

2Bring to a boil and remove from heat.

3Stir yeast into lukewarm water and sugar. When cream mixture is cool, add yeast mixture.

4Stir in remaining ingredients.

5Do not knead.

6Stir with spoon.

7Cover and let rise 1 hour.

8Spoon into muffin pans, 1/2 full.

9Let rise 30 minutes. Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.

10Makes 12 to 15.
