  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

    Place shortening in mixing bowl.

    Sift in all dry ingredients. Add half of the milk mix until flour is moistened.

    Beat 2 minutes at medium speed.

    Add rest of milk and vanilla; beat 3 minutes longer.

    Bake at 375° for 25 minutes.
