- 2 qt. milk
- 1 c. farina
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 3/4 stick butter, melted
Directions

1Heat milk to hot on low flame.

2Add farina.

3Stir now and then. Add sugar, stirring constantly, so it doesn't stick.

4Raise flame and keep stirring.

5Cook 15 to 20 minutes to thicken.

6When there is no milk separation, add 2 tablespoons melted butter and vanilla. Stir a couple of minutes and pour quickly into greased tray.

7Pour remaining butter over the But-La-Wa and let tray stand until entirely cooled.
